Coconut Records is a California based "indie pop musical solo-project" by Jason Schwartzman, which began in 2006. The debut album, Nighttiming, was released on Schwartzman’s Young Baby Records in 2007. The album had musical contributions by members of Incubus, as well as appearances by actresses Zooey Deschanel and Kirsten Dunst. Coconut Records' sophomore release, Davy, was released in January 2009 and, like Nighttiming, featured musical contributions from Zooey Deschanel.

Florence & the Machine are England’s “latest indie sensation” and we and we have fallen hard! The debut album ‘Lungs’ has already won Florence Welch the 2009 Critics Choice Award at the Brits. Her songs are full of Gothic imagery, and of fairytale flights of fantasy. However, Florence simply laughs and says: “Everything is about boys! The whole album is about love – and pain. People see my lyrics as crazy, but to me it’s an honest, heartfelt album. I didn’t set out to be wacky. I just want it to be emotive.”
